Our Little Rockers were back at it this weekend at a bonspiel in Oakville. They won their first game 9-1 after opening with a 4 pointer in the first end! Their second game started off close, as their Oakville opponent made a clutch raise against 5 to hold us to 1. It was 2-2 after 4 ends when our team was able to score another 4 ender! Final score was 9-2.
Congrats to the team of Caroline (lead), Charlotte (second), Owen (vice) and Jackson (skip) on winning the bonspiel! The kids had a great time and worked very well together. We have seen such a huge improvement in all our little rockers over the past few years. Thank you to all our volunteers who come out each Sunday to help make the program a success. We couldn't do it without you!
We are also so thankful for the support of our members that help keep our Little Rock program thriving. With your help, we were able to subsize hoodies for all the players in our program this year (see photo). We will also be updating more of our equipment, such as slip-on sliders and grippers.
Our next event is the Tam Heather Little Rocks bonspiel, happening on March 1! The kids can't wait!
