The Tam Heather Little Rock section is excited to host their Annual Little Rock Bonspiel on Saturday March 2nd, 2024.
Dear All Tennis Members 55 years of age or over, and those that are turning 55 in 2024. We would like to enter "Two Teams" from Tam Heather in the GTA "Intercounty plus 55 Tennis League" for this summer.
This league has been playing now for a number of years, along with three other leagues in the "Intercounty Tennis Association". They are the "Mixed League", "Ladies League", and a "Junior League",
The 55 plus league starts in early May, and plays on Thursday mornings starting at 10:00 AM. Half the matches are played at Tam Heather, and half are played at the other club's courts in the league.
Each match consists of 1 - Ladies doubles match, 1 - Men's doubles match, and 1 - Mixed doubles match. That is 3 ladies and 3 men for each match. We will need to have at least six ladies and six men on the rosters for each team. We will also need at least one player to volunteer to act as the "captain" of each team.
There are three divisions in the league - A, B, and C. We will be entering one team in the "B" division, and one in the "C" division. And the leagues are divided geographically, so our matches should be in the east part of the GTA.
You can go online at https://intercountytennis.com/ and pick "55 + League" for more information and the rules on the league.
Anyone that is interested in playing on one of these two teams, or have any questions please contact Lorne Devine at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
