Speed of Play - Part 3

Hello Tam Curlers,

Thank you for the amazing feedback on our first two videos! They were a blast to create, and we are thrilled so many of you enjoyed them.

The bigger picture behind the laughs:  Raising awareness about the speed of play in curling.

This third video gets to the heart of it, and now the conversation shifts to you and your team.

Ask yourselves:

  • Am I ready in the hack when it’s my turn?
  • Are the decisions quick and efficient?
  • Is our in-game socializing affecting the flow of the game?
  • This isn’t about blame; it’s about teamwork. A faster game makes curling more enjoyable for everyone. So, let’s take a moment to reflect and share our thoughts with our teams—what can we all do to keep things moving?

Once again, thanks to the volunteers.

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
