We are excited to share some great news about our Tam Heather "Intercounty Mixed B League" tennis team, who had an incredible summer season! The league ran from May 15th to the end of August, and we were up against 59 teams across eight divisions in the GTA, including our own.
Our team finished first in the East Division, leading by six points, which means we’ll be moving up to the "A Division" next summer.
Following this, we won three playoff matches in early to mid-September, advancing to the Championship match for the entire Mixed B League. This exciting final took place at Sobey's Tennis Stadium at York University on Saturday, September 21st.
The match, like many throughout the summer, was of high quality and came down to the last set. We're thrilled to announce that Tam Heather pulled through and won the Division by a single set!
