Board of Directors Available Positions at September 2024 AGM

Call for New Board Members

With both Curling and Tennis memberships at an all-time high, the TAM FAMILY is growing & thriving.

To keep on thriving, we need your participation and your fresh ideas.

Please consider volunteering to join the Tam Heather Board of Directors (BOD)

At this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday September 23, 2024, two Board of Director position vacancies will need to be filled.

The term of two current directors, Treasurer Helen Bigall and Membership, Tony Chin ends this year and they will not be seeking re- election.

Within the current Board, Don Richard, the current Vice President expressed interest in becoming the new Treasurer and Dan Lang, current Director at Large, expressed interest in becoming the new Vice President.

The Board of Directors approved these internal moves which take effect after our September 2024 AGM in accordance with the current constitution sec 8.1.

This will create two Board vacancies to be filled by election of the membership at the Sept 2024 AGM.

The term for a director is three years. The maximum number of consecutive years an individual can be on the Board of Directors is six.
We strongly encourage all members to consider serving on the Board. If you are interested, please contact the Secretary, Erwin Psotka (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

We look forward to hearing from you soon

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
