The New Dome – Featuring Tedlar® Coating

The new dome will feature an upgraded Tedlar® coating, which offers a number of long-term benefits, including:

  1. Extended Lifespan – Protects the dome fabric from cracking, fading, and brittleness, ensuring durability for many years.
  2. Superior UV Protection – Blocks harmful UV rays, reducing sun damage and the need for early replacements.
  3. Easier Maintenance – Non-stick and resistant to dirt, stains, and pollution, keeping the dome cleaner and easier to maintain.
  4. Moisture & Chemical Resistance – Prevents damage from mold, mildew, and environmental pollutants.
  5. Improved Appearance – Maintains a bright, clean look, preventing yellowing or fading over time.
  6. Cost Savings – Reduces the frequency of major repairs or replacements, offering long-term value.
  7. Sustainability – Extending the fabric’s lifespan reduces waste and environmental impact.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this exciting upgrade. We can’t wait to welcome you back on the courts under the brand-new Tam Heather Tennis Dome!

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
