Curling Liaison Position Available at Sept 2024 AGM

At our June 27, 2024 Board of Directors meeting, John Wills, our current Curling Liaison, told the Board that he and his wife are planning on moving to London Ontario this summer, so he will be resigning from the Board effective at the next AGM.

We would like to thank John for his contributions to curling at the Tam Heather (several years on the Venerables’ Board of Directors including President and currently as the Curling Liaison at Tam). John we all wish you our very best and you will be missed.

John’s resignation leaves an unexpected vacancy on the Board of Directors.  If you are interested in becoming the new Curling Liaison Director for Tam, please contact Erwin Psotka (Secretary).

Tam had a great year last year with membership at an all time high and a strong year financially. But we can’t continue to grow without your input and your fresh ideas. Please consider volunteering to join the Tam Heather Board of Directors (BOD) as the new Curling Liaison.

For your information, the full Tam Board of Directors currently consists of:

  • President: David Muir
  • Vice President:  Don Richard
  • Treasurer: Helen Bigall, term expires, position available with one current candidate identified
  • Secretary: Erwin Psotka

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
