Help Us Grow the Game

The continued success of Tam Heather depends on both the loyalty of our existing members and the growth of our membership through new curlers. Thank you for your ongoing support of the Club.

Many of our new members join because they were encouraged by a friend, family member, or fellow curler. We encourage you to help spread the word about our welcoming curling community and invite others to experience the sport.

Curling Education & Development (CED)

We have listened to member feedback and continue to enhance the experience for both new and returning curlers.

Our Curling Education and Development (CED) Committee is dedicated to supporting curlers throughout their first and second years of participation and helping all members continue to improve their skills.

Learn to Curl Program

We encourage members to promote our Learn to Curl Program, which will be offered on Saturdays throughout October. Participants will complete the program in time to join the second draw of league play.

Your support in helping us attract new curlers is greatly appreciated.

Upcoming Clinics and Coaching Opportunities

The CED Committee is also planning a variety of club-wide development opportunities, including:

  • Brush-up clinics
  • Specialized coaching sessions
  • Individual instruction
  • Strategy and skill-development workshops
  • Additional educational programs designed to support curlers at all levels

We will also be seeking experienced members interested in becoming Club Coaches through CurlON coaching seminars and certification programs. If this interests you, please indicate your willingness to participate during registration.

We look forward to another outstanding curling season and thank you for being part of the Tam Heather Curling community.

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
