2025 Heritage Bonspiel Recap & Photos

What can we—your crew—Beth & Bob, Karen & John, Debbie & David, Linda & David, Donna, Captain Judi, and I—possibly say except THANK YOU to everyone who came aboard the HMCS Heritage Sea Cruise and made it such a great success!

It takes a strong and supportive “navy” to launch a ship like ours, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing volunteers—Joan, Hugh, Cathy, and many more—who each played a vital role in making your voyage smooth and enjoyable.

With two draws, two games, and plenty of spirited competition, we shared laughs, great hospitality, delicious food and drinks, photo ops, and even some dancing! Most of our guests kept their sea legs steady right to the very end! While not everyone went home with a prize, everyone disembarked with a smile—and that’s the best reward of all.

A special thank you to our shipboard directors, Linda and David, for keeping things running smoothly, and to our games and prize coordinators for making sure everyone was well rewarded.

Congratulations to our 2025 Tam Heritage Champion Trophy Winners!

We also want to recognize all the teams for their incredible on-ice performances—there were some hard-fought battles, and the final results were extremely close!

A Salute to the Best-Dressed Crew
Had we offered a Best Dressed Team Award, it would have been a tough call! From pirates to Pepto Bismols, Titanic bands to Gilligan’s gang, navy captains to cruise passengers, so many of you embraced the theme in fantastic style!

Through the generosity of all Heritage Sea Cruisers, we raised $1,300 for local food banks, which will be donated in Tam Heather’s name. We were also able to make a cash donation in support of Tam Little Rocks fundraising—thank you all for your support!

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
