Dear Tam Tennis Members,

I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all.

It is with great pleasure that I announce Lionel Eli as the first recipient of the TPA Community Tennis Leadership Award for the year 2023.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to Lionel's unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to the Tennis coaching profession in Canada. His commitment to excellence and passion for nurturing talent have not gone unnoticed, and the TPA takes immense pride in acknowledging his outstanding efforts.

Lionel's impact extends far beyond the court, and his leadership serves as an inspiration to us all. As a valued member of our Tam Fam, his achievements reflect positively on our community, reinforcing our shared commitment to fostering growth and excellence.

Please join me in extending heartfelt congratulations to Lionel on this well-deserved honor. Let us celebrate his success and continue to support each other in our collective pursuit of excellence in Tennis and beyond.

Now a message from our Tennis Director, Lionel Eli:

Dear Tam Members,

We hope your summer indoor Tennis experience has been off to a great start! With court cleanings finished and leagues about to kick off, we're gearing up for an exciting season of indoor Tennis.

In the coming weeks, we'll be implementing a new fob scanner reader for all members to use before accessing the courts. This system will help streamline court access and ensure a smooth experience for everyone. More details to come!

We kindly ask that you refrain from booking courts if you're unsure of your availability and, equally important, please remember to cancel any booked courts promptly if your plans change. By doing so, you'll help ensure that courts are available for other members who are eager to play.

Let's make this season of indoor Tennis a memorable one for all! Thank you for your cooperation and enthusiasm.

Best regards,

Lionel Eli

Director of Tennis

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
