Start and Stop of Play - Bell Reminder
A warning bell will ring at 5 minutes to the hour. Players must vacate their court promptly when the 2nd bell goes off on the hour, regardless of score. Players who enter the bubble early are asked to remain on the bleachers until their start time and be respectful of the players on court 1. In case a court is empty before or after the booked time, a five-minute grace period is permissible. To enter or exit after the final bell, please do so without impacting / disrupting play on other courts.

The committee of seven met Tuesday evening and made a number updates, changes, and decisions based on the Strathcona Cup Guidelines. One of the committee goals is to have full sponsorship for this event. Team fees, if necessary, will be based on the amount received from sponsors.
Mike Harris’ team was selected as one of the four teams. The second team will represent the Venerables, and the other two teams will be chosen by random draw.

Tam Heather Curling Club has been asked to host one of the events in this decade’s “Strathcona Cup”. We have accepted their invitation on your behalf.
Canada plays host to the world’s oldest international men’s curling bonspiel, the “Strathcona Cup”. This month-long curling bonspiel brings together 60 male curlers from Scotland to play against our very own in curling centers from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia. The competition is comprised of three distinct tours (Western, Central, and Eastern Canadian Tours). Now in it’s 120th year, the next Strathcona Cup will be competed for in January 2023 and in particular at Tam heather on January 23, 2023. We are making this historic event open to all Tam Heather male curling teams and members.
