Hello All Tam Heather Members,
I hope everyone is doing well and having a great Summer, it has definitely been a hot one!
First off, welcome back to our returning members and WELCOME to our new members, we are happy to have you as a part of the Tam Fam! Registration is going well and we are pleased to have members returning back to the tennis bubble and back on the curling ice.
After the last few seasons of ups and downs, we wanted to bring everyone up to speed on how we will be proceeding for this upcoming winter season. This season, there are a number of important changes that should be reviewed in advance. In addition to some club processes and administrative transitions, Tam Heather remains dedicated to the safety of our members and staff; we will continue to monitor and pivot as required.

Club Process/Administrative Transitions

All membership fees are required to be paid in full before the season starts in order to curl or play tennis (Membership status will not be active until fees are fully paid)

All tennis members must have a credit card on file for pre-authorized payments for court bookings

All chitting at Tam will be phased out of by the end of December 2022-Payment methods exclusive to cash, debit and credit card will begin as of January 1, 2023

If you wish to continue to chit until the end of December, you will need to have a pre-authorized credit card on file for automatic monthly billing

The kitchen (Damiano) will have a separate debit machine for food purchases
Health & Safety Updates

Proof of vaccination will no longer be required

Tam Heather will continue to follow all Public Health and Provincial recommendations, mandates, and changes that are put in place

If Covid restrictions are reintroduced, a notice will be sent out to all membership with the required information and changes

Masking will be up to each individual and their comfort level

Club lounge will remain in the double table set up for social distancing when able

Curling will return to regular gameplay for the start of the season and remain unless indicated otherwise by health officials

2 sweepers allowed, sweeping behind the tee line allowed, 8 end games reinstated. Bell rule will still apply

Disinfectant wipes will be made available to sanitize rocks before play, should you wish to do so. Staff will no longer be sanitizing rocks before each draw (this will allow for 8 end games to be played)
One final item, Tam is looking for some part time ice staff for this coming season. Come and join our amazing team of Ice Technicians and learn the other side of curling.
