Sad News - Norm Rhora

Dear Tam Heather Members,

On behalf of the Tam family, we extend our deepest gratitude to all those who were able to visit Norm Rhora at the Royal Canadian Legion on April 22nd. Your presence and support during that time meant a great deal.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Norm's passing on Wednesday, April 24th, with his beloved family and friends by his side. Norm was not just a member of our community; he was a founding member of Tam Heather, and his contributions have left an indelible mark on all of us.

In the days ahead, as we reflect on Norm's life and the memories we shared with him, let us also cherish the legacy he leaves behind. His dedication, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

As we mourn the loss of a dear friend and cherished member, let us also find solace in knowing that Norm's spirit will continue to live on in the fond memories we hold and the values he instilled in our community.

Thank you once again for your support during this difficult time.

Club Information

Tam Heather, or the “Tam” as we call it, is an active friendly club located in the Morningside and 401 community of Scarborough. Tam Heather opened in 1973 as a curling club with eight sheets of ice, then two years later in 1975, the club expanded by adding five tennis courts, three of which were covered in the winter with a bubble. Thirty four years later, in 2009, a four court year-round covered structure was built.
